Hello everyone, we have just got home and I have put my precious angel to bed. Its been a pretty trying day with the rainy drive and all. We arrived at Duke hospital this morning around 1140am for blood work, which took about 10 minutes, then we had lunch. { let me tell you, that Duke hospital makes a pretty good bologna sandwich} After lunch she had a 200pm appointment for our first chemo treatment. They called us back around 315pm. As she got settled in she encountered a little nervousness, so the nurse gave her some happy juice. after about 30-45 minutes of that she settled down and she started her first treatment which took about an hour and a half. The second treatment lasted about an hour. So we left Duke around 700pm. Sleeping beauty slept most of the way home, THANK GOD because if she wasn't such a great hair stylist, she would make one heck of a good drivers education teacher. { had to get that one in while she was a sleep] . Her next treatment is next Friday. I hope I have given everyone enough info. I would like to thank everyone, from the bottom of my heart, for all the support and prayers. Keep em coming, may God Bless you all
love,
Corky

Audra and Corky,

Just tried to call. Wanted to leave a message. Have been praying over you and your home for the past 2 days that God will reveal Himself to you as the true source of Hope and Comfort that only He can be. We are all in this fight together in different ways and it is truly a privilege to bring you all before His throne in intercession! Week 1 down, 11 more to go. Love you guys!

Jeremiah 29:11
New International Version (NIV)

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

I pray that God wraps His arms of love around you and that you and your family will lean into Him for strength and peace during this time. God will stay with you during this trial and will keep you strong! Our God is still in the business of miracles and He credits our faith, not our works, as righteous.
You guys and your sweet Cole are precious to me, and I will continue praying for healing.
Love,
Leigh Ann

corky, i am rather impressed w/ your writing skills and you told the truth. she is an angel. i am so glad that she has you and the kids. you are so good to her and for her.
i liked the part about her being the driver's ed teacher. you know she used to be the "WORST DAMN DRIVER" EEVVEERR!!! She used to scare the hell out of me driving way back in the day. That little red spectrum could burn some rubber when she got mad or excited. I'll have to refreshen her memory when i take her to Duke. HA. J/K . please call me if you need me, I am right down the road from you guys- it doesn't matter what time it is-I'll be there.
Love you all-
annie

PHILIPIANS 4:13 I can do everything through HIM who gives me strength.

Hello Audra! You don't know me but I want you to know I am praying for you. Just remember that God works miracles EVERYDAY & that he has a plan for all of us. We just have to be patient & allow HIM to do things in his time. I pray that GOD will give you the strength to win your race & to know that He will not only meet you at the finish line but help to carry you along the way. Just keep hold steadfast to your faith & GODS promise that his spirit remains with us. `GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS, Kathy Ketchum
